In 2013, the CEEC was commissions by the Ministry of Education to send delegations to South Korea and Japan, our Asian neighbors whose university entrance examinations are similar to ours. CEEC delegations also visited the US, whose education system has had great influence on Taiwan’s and where high school leavers apply to individual universities. The visits were intended not only to better understand the countries’ visions and designs for admissions and examinations but also to establish stronger relationships with and learn from peer examination bodies. We hope that there will be more opportunities for us to connect with the rest of the world.

Other works

We’ve always been a believer in learning from our peers’ experiences. In the early days of CEEC, we gathered information on admissions systems in Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, the UK, France, Germany, the US as well as other Asian and European countries to establish general rules and guidelines, standards and procedures, based on which we developed and proposed a model for Taiwan.

We have not stopped the work of information collection and take every opportunity to learn about system design and experiences in other countries or areas. Some of the research results are accessible to the public.
